2022 Focusing on Challenges to Evangelism and Discipleship

 1-“From Death to Life “ (Romans 5:12-8:11)

1. Adam’s Sin Infected All of Us (Romans 5:12-21)
2. Dead to Sin, Alive to God (Romans 6:1-14) 
3. Slaves to Righteousness (Romans 6:15-23)
4. Released from the Law (Romans 7:1-6)
5. The Law and Sin (Romans 7:7-12)
6. The Law and Death (Romans 7:13-20)
7. Wretched Man (Romans 7:21-25)
8. Life in the Spirit (Romans 8:1-11)

The 6 questions, we will consider are the ones that Paul himself asked.

1. What shall we say then are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? (Romans 6:1)
2. What then, are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? (Romans 6:15)
3. Do you not know that the law is binding on a person only as long as he lives? (Romans 7:1)
4. What then shall we say, that the law is sin? (Romans 7:7)
5. Did the law which is good then bring death to me? Romans 7:13)
6. Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? (Romans 7:24)

Our Biblical teaching this year will come from the Books of Romans and John. All the teachings will be focused on equipping us to be fruitful in both Evangelism and Discipleship.

We will be reading through Spurgeon's book on our own from Jan 2022 to June 2022. We will periodically talk about in our Zoom Camp Fire. Being anchored in the 5 things that Spurgeon was anchored in will provide a excellent foundation for us all to move forward in what God has for each of us. The Word, God’s Grace, a heart and focus for Evangelism (Gospel), knowing who we are in Christ and what He has done for us and how the Holy Spirit helps and guides us through what we have been called to do.

3-Confessions and Creeds

I would recommend getting the Reformed App. It has all the confessions and creeds we would look at and is on your phone whenever you have time to look at. It can be something your incorporate with you devotional time, in the morning, evening or midday.

4-Praying “Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven” (4 points of emphasis)

1. Pray that someone will be converted, that by evangelism some one will come to know Christ for the first time.
2. Pray for the new believer that desires and needs discipleship.
3. Pray for the believer that has fallen away from what God has called them to do. They once ran strong, but have been turned away from the course set before them. Pray they come back to what God has called them to steward.
4. Pray for the believer that has fallen into serious sin, that they would come back home.

5-Introducing our Families

1 Timothy 3:1-7

Titus 1:6-9

In the above passages, we see what type of person we are called to be as a faithful steward of God. We are to take God’s word serious, have control over our bodies and be able to manage our families well. As we come together @ “The Zoom Camp Fire”, we want to always encourage one another to represent Christ life giving work in us, to both our families, our careers and to our communities.
