The Resurrection

Hey, guys I am still working through the verse flow for in the morning, I will try to send out later if you want to read through it to prepare your heart.

We will try to finish up with John over the next 3 weeks. We have two chapters left 20 and 21. In the morning we will navigate the content of John 20 and tie in the Matt. Mark, Luke related content for same time frame.

Here is a few points in chronological order to consider as you try to paint the most complete picture with all the information from the 4 sources of the Bible meaning Matt. Mark. Luke and John.

1-The stone is rolled away and the body is not there. (John 20:1, Matt. 28:1, Mark 16:1, Luke 24:1)

2-Jesus reveals Himself to Mary and Mary communicates that she has seen Jesus and He is alive (John 20:11, Matt. 28:9, Mark 16:9, Luke 24:22)

3-On the Emmaus Rd, Jesus revels Himself to two disciples that have heard about the women who seen a vision of an angel who said that Jesus was alive (Luke 24:22-24)

4-The disciples from Emmaus Rd go and report to the eleven (Luke 24:33-35, Mark 16:12-13)

5-Jesus appears to the Disciples without Thomas

6-Jesus appears to the Disciples with Thomas

7-The Purpose of John’s Gospel (John 20:30-31)

8-Jesus appears to the Disciples in Galilee (John 21:1, 12, 14)

Interesting thought for consideration is why did it take some of them awhile to realize the meaning of everything that was happening?

We will spend next week in John 21, so our time frame for this week will be the empty tomb and the revealing evidence that Jesus is alive in the area of Jerusalem.

Questions to Consider

What was the initial responses of the people when they found out the tomb was empty?

How did the audience process the information of the idea that Jesus was actually alive after they seen Him die on a cross and be buried?

Who did Jesus initially reveal Himself to?

What did the guards do when they seen the tomb empty?

What did the angel do and say?

Hope you all can make it in the morning.
