John 7:42 (ESV): Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes from the offspring of David, and comes from Bethlehem, the village where David was?”

Psalm 89:3–4 (ESV): You have said, “I have made a covenant with my chosen one; 

I have sworn to David my servant: 

 4  ‘I will establish your offspring forever, 

and build your throne for all generations.’ ”

Micah 5:2 (ESV): But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, 

who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, 

  from you shall come forth for me 

one who is to be ruler in Israel, 

  whose coming forth is from of old,
